Our Team

Chris Brown

MA, LMFT

I’d be remiss if I didn’t begin by saying that I never envisioned becoming a therapist—or co-founding a private practice. My wife, Sarah, did, and it turns out she was right.

I believe every person brings a unique story and set of experiences into the therapy room, and those deserve to be met with respect and care. I strive to treat clients first and foremost as human beings—meeting them where they are with compassion, warmth, and an easygoing, supportive presence. Drawing on my training as a Certified Trauma Professional, along with EMDR and Attachment-Based Family Therapy, I work to help clients restore a sense of wholeness and healing.

When I am not in the office, I love to be outside riding my mountain bike, anything to do with music, cooking, and being with my family.

AREAS OF SPECIALIZATION

Sarah Brown

MA, LMFT, CEDS

I was one of the weird kids who wanted to be a therapist since freshman year of high school. I am passionate about what I do, and I believe I chose the right career all those years ago.

I understand that each individual brings a different story, different experiences, and different strengths. Needs will look different, too, and I tailor therapy sessions accordingly. In session, I bring compassion, warmth, and humor (when appropriate) to create safety. I utilize skills-based modalities in addition to somatic modalities to support you in your goals in ways that are inclusive and affirming.

When not in the office, I love to adventure with my family, get cozy with a good book, and drink good coffee.

AREAS OF SPECIALIZATION

eating disorders in teens and adults, kids with ARFID, depression, anxiety, support in life transitions, group therapy

EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS

MA in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University; Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP); Certified Clinical Supervisor; Level 1 Training in Brainspotting; LMFT#119305 (CA)

Carl

CERTIFIED THERAPY DOG

I am an 8 year-old Golden Retriever who is gifted at creating a safe space for clients to grow. My calm demeanor adds a soothing presence to the office, and my hugs (for those who request them) are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.

When not in the office, I love to eat chicken, sunbathe, and take long naps in the middle of wherever people are supposed to walk.

EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS
