Group Therapy Sessions

Healing in Community

When others get it, healing feels easier.

You don’t have to do this alone. Group therapy offers a safe and supportive space to connect with others who truly understand what you’re going through—because they’re walking a similar path. Whether you’re working through body image issues, anxiety, or big life transitions, group therapy can help you feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Why Group Therapy?

Group therapy can feel intimidating at first. Many people worry about sharing in front of others or wonder if their struggles are “too much” or “not enough.” But here’s the truth: being in a group with others who get it can be incredibly powerful.

In group therapy, you’ll:

  • Feel less alone in what you’re going through

  • Learn new skills and perspectives

  • Practice connection and communication in a safe space

  • Receive support and encouragement from both peers and a skilled therapist

Sometimes, just hearing someone say, “I’ve felt that too,” can be deeply healing.

Who is a Good Fit for Group Therapy?

Sarah offers a range of virtual groups for:

  • Adults exploring their relationship with food and body image

  • Young adults navigating identity, emotions, and transitions

  • Parents who want support while their child is in therapy

  • Individuals looking to build DBT skills for managing emotions and relationships

Whether you’re new to therapy or looking to supplement individual work, there may be a group that fits your needs.

What Makes Sarah’s Groups Different

These are not your average “sit in a circle and talk about your feelings” groups. Sarah’s approach is:

  • Person-centered: Your needs and voice matter

  • Trauma-informed: Safety, pacing, and consent are prioritized

  • Inclusive and affirming: All bodies, identities, and experiences are welcome

  • Grounded in evidence-based practices: Including DBT, HAES, Intuitive Eating, and body liberation frameworks

Healing isn’t about fixing yourself—it’s about finding connection, safety, and growth in the presence of others.
